Courier: Elmwood Campus principal claims boarded-up college in Fife ‘saved’ at Holyrood grilling

The principal of Scotland’s Rural College claimed his institution saved Elmwood Campus in Fife – despite the Cupar college being boarded up and student accommodation closed.

Professor Wayne Powell was grilled at Holyrood on Wednesday over the future of the Fife facility where he described working with the local community as “a challenge”.

He blamed a “negative narrative” surrounding the facility which has demoralised staff and curtailed investment.
